Planned Field Trip

'Exploring the impact of climate on Goan coastlines'

The Goan coastline has recorded the changes of relative sea level for thousands of years. The evidence of this change is preserved in the numerous coastal geomorphic features like rock-cut platforms and beachrocks as well as other archaeological evidences. We will explore these sea level indicators in and around Goa and discuss how this data connects to to sea level simulations and paleoclimatic reconstructions models.
